Tips for dealing with depression

Cry if you must, when feeling sad or depressed inside. My experience has been, when keeping it inside for the sake of being strong; it has actually made me feel worse. After I cry I feel a sense of relief and many times I feel even better.

Ask for help, do not be ashamed. The only shame is in knowing that something is not quite right with you emotionally, mentally and physically and not asking for help or doing anything about it.

Are you ready to seek professional help but can quite afford it? Do your research, some cities offer free clinics and support groups for mental health related issues. Below I listed a few links where you can begin to get some suggestions.

You have a right to fight for your well being and strive to live to the best of your ability for your self and among society.

Never, ever underestimate your self and never give up!

You are special and worth every token of happiness available to you. Do not for one second, sell your self short and ALWAYS believe that with every little step and every little push, you do indeed, come closer to achieving good mental health, but you have to put in the foot work and again, I can’t stress this enough, Never Give Up!
