Smile appeal

I don’t think most people still understand the power of a smile. It can instantly warm a room and have people take a kind interest in you; it also helps in meeting and making acquaintances.

There is no doubt that a smile has a certain appeal that can instantly make a normal face beautiful. One way to become better at smiling is increasing your awareness of it. Take notice of those you find warm and inviting, do they smile often?

Although, a smile goes a long way, it helps when you include other factors along with one.

1. Become genuinely interested in other people
2. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about them
3. Talk in terms of the other person’s interests
4. Make the other person feel important – and do it sincerely

So, as you can see, the value of a smile is much more than we think. It cost nothing, but creates much. It enriches those who receive one, without impoverishing those who give. A smile happens in a split second and the memory of it can last forever, making it the start of a lifetime relationship with someone.

From what you have read so far, there is no doubt that a smile makes an impact on many levels. Here are several more reasons to smile, people are generally drawn to those who smile, it changes your mood and of others, next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile, there is a good chance your mood will change for the better.

It relaxes you, which in turn can help your immune system to work better. Smiling also relieves stress and prevents you from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take time to put on a smile, the stress should be reduced and you'll be better able to take action.

Smiling lifts the face and makes you look younger, while also helping you appear more confident and easy to approach. The more you do it, the more people will react to you differently and the more you will wonder what took you so long to do it more.:)
