Panic Disorder

Panic Disorder is a disorder with unexpected attacks of fear; they often accompany feelings of intense terror when there is no authentic danger or threat. Overtime these attacks in some people can develop into panic disorder, usually when the person has a fear of having another attack.

As you can imagine a disorder such as this one can turn a person’s life upside down, causing them to be afraid of social gatherings, traveling, working and other everyday activities.

Some of the symptoms of a panic attack include: Trembling, shortness of breath, unrealistic fears, chest pain, racing heartbeat, dizziness, hot flashes, sweating, and feelings of lack of control.

If you or someone you know is suffering from panic attacks or has any of the symptoms related to it, make sure to visit your doctor to discuss possible treatment options. It is important to understand, with the right medical care and treatment a person with panic disorder can live a normal, a life without having a constant fear of another attack coming on.
